Location: Chagauramas Boardwalk (Beach)
On day two in Trinidad, I ventured to Chagaraumas Boardwalk Beach. This beach was generally closer to the hotel an the downtown core – about 20 mins. The trip to the beach, again, amounted to pennies in Canadian when you considered the currency.
This beach felt almost lake-like: the water was generally flat with very few crashing waves – if any. There were industrial looking ships ported which added for a scenic, though different feel to the beach than opposed to Maracas.
I snacked on pholorie and Solo with White Oak rum that day – and it didn’t go so well for me in the heat. I’m also pretty sure it’s the first time I ever remember being burned by the sun.
The highlight was meeting and playing with a few kids who were also at the Boardwalk. One thing I can say I was impressed by was how well-spoken all of the little children were. It was just so adorable!
