Last weekend, you might have noticed that my IG took a dramatic turn from my usual (chilly) Toronto scene – filled with photos featuring the glistening sun in West Palm Beach and Miami! I know – 48 hours is short! But, does it really surprise you that I, Anesha Sylvia, one of the busiest women you’ll ever meet – decided on a quick pit-stop in the sun?
I will be the first to admit that the heat nearly killed me. My face and hair were drenched for 90 percent of the trip. In fact, by Sunday I had decided to ditch make-up altogether: there was no point. But, I cannot lie (as a true Toronto loyalist) – I really left my heart and soul in Miami. There is something about those feel-good island vibes, that instantly makes you feel better about life. As a self-professed city-slicker, the fact that I was in such a modern environment also made me feel at home. One thing I couldn’t get over? Palm trees. Literally obsessed with them as of this moment. I cannot wait to go back. 🙂
I want to send many, many thanks to my wonderful hosts who made me feel at home and made sure I got the true Florida experience in a flash – they also helped me with my photos! Hehehe. Here’s a quick recap … !
Beautiful views and quiet time in West Palm Beach, FL!
Brunchin’ in Miami, street-side at Oliver’s Cafe! I had the Jalepeno Mole Chicken Tacos – so delicious!
On to the Mondrian for drinks and a day jam! Synthy sounds and a drink in hand out in the open sun? I couldn’t say no.
Taking in the sights on Ocean Drive.
